Sean Kingston is finally awake and alert in the hospital, even communicating with nods and sign language to family and visitors, TMZ.com reported.
While Kingston remains hospitalized, sources told the gossip site that the "Beautiful Girls" singer's recovery looks promising. The 21-year-old singer still can't speak because of the breathing tube inserted in his mouth and throat, but the update is a considerable improvement over his condition when he was rushed to the trauma unit on Monday night with critical injuries from a jet ski accident.
Doctors at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital are helping the Kingston recover from water in his lungs, a broken jaw and a fractured wrist, according to the Miami Herald.
Cassandra Sanchez, the passenger who was riding with Kingston on his new Sea Doo might be the singer's "beautiful girl," but "lucky girl" may be a more accurate fit. Sanchez escaped the accident relatively unscathed, except for a sore jaw and ribs.
