After last week's gonzo results show,'American Idol' fans were prepared for anything, but tonight's sendofffelt more like a listless airport 'goodbye' than a traumatic, prematureseparation of the kind we experienced last Thursday night.Somehow, the pecking order seems to have been restored ... for the timebeing. But before we get to that, in the spirit of Ryan Seacrest, let'sdrag things out a bit and take a look back at how the evening unfolded.
Once again the night started with Lauren Alainaand Scotty McCreery, ya'll. The two shared a Lady Antebellum songnicely, with Scotty continuing to find new, awkward ways to hold amicrophone, while Lauren pranced around in a daisy yellow dressstraight out of Dolly Parton's closet.
It's becoming and more evident that Lauren and Scotty are going to be the final two standing, after James Durbin gets the boot, while everyone else continues to keep those bottom three seats warm.
